Getting Started

Does Venditas require any hardware?+
No. Venditas requires zero hardware. It runs on any existing Android or iOS smartphone — no IP cameras, no RFID readers, no boom barriers, and no technician visits. Your guard uses a phone to photograph visitors and notify residents instantly.
How long does setup take?+
Most societies are fully live within a few hours of signing up. You add your gates, invite residents via WhatsApp or SMS, install the guard app, and do one test entry. There is no wiring, no installation window to book, and no vendor dependency.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes — all plans include a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. You get full access to all features from day one. If you decide not to continue, you simply stop. No cancellation process.
Do I need committee approval before trialling Venditas?+
We recommend framing it as a trial, not a permanent change. Most committees easily approve a 7-day free pilot with no hardware commitment and zero cost. Once the committee sees the usage data from the trial, the permanent approval usually follows naturally.

Pricing

How much does Venditas cost?+
Venditas is priced as a flat annual fee — Starter at ₹9,999/year (up to 100 flats) and Standard at ₹18,999/year (up to 300 flats). Enterprise pricing is available for larger societies. There are no per-flat charges and no hidden costs.
Why is flat pricing better than per-flat billing?+
Per-flat billing (common among leading visitor apps) means your costs grow every time a new resident moves in. With Venditas, you pay one fixed annual fee regardless of how many flats are occupied. For a 150-flat society, the difference can be ₹40,000–₹80,000 per year.
Are there any hidden costs — hardware, setup fees, or support charges?+
No. The annual fee covers everything: unlimited gates, the guard app, the resident app, support, and all software updates. There is no hardware to buy and no setup fee.
Do you have plans for security agencies managing multiple societies?+
Yes. Our Launch Partner programme is designed for security agencies. ₹15,000/year covers your first 15 client societies, with ₹2,000/society/year after that. A white-label option is also available. Contact us to learn more.

Privacy & Security

Where is resident data stored?+
All data is stored on Google Cloud (GCP Firestore). Each society has a completely isolated, separately encrypted instance — your data is never co-mingled with another society's data.
Can Venditas employees access our resident data?+
No. Venditas uses Google Cloud IAM (Identity Access Management) policies that technically prevent our engineers from accessing your visitor logs, resident names, phone numbers, or entry history. Privacy is architectural, not just a policy.
How is data encrypted?+
All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and encrypted in transit using TLS. This is the same standard used by banks and enterprise SaaS applications.
Can we request deletion of our data?+
Yes. You can request full data deletion at any time by contacting us. We will confirm deletion within 7 business days.

Switching Apps

Can we switch from our current visitor management app to Venditas?+
Yes. Since Venditas requires no hardware, there is nothing to remove or replace. You can run a 7-day Venditas trial alongside your existing setup and migrate residents at your own pace. Contact us and we will walk your committee through the transition.
Will we lose our visitor history when switching?+
Your historical data from the previous app stays in that system. Venditas starts a fresh log from your go-live date. For most societies, historical logs are rarely accessed after 30 days, so this is not a practical concern.
Is Venditas cheaper than other visitor management apps?+
For most societies, yes — significantly. Leading apps charge per flat per month plus hardware installation costs. Venditas charges one flat annual fee with no hardware. For a 150-flat society, the annual saving is typically ₹40,000–₹80,000 depending on the competing app's per-flat rate.

Using the App

What happens if a resident doesn't have a smartphone?+
Venditas supplements the guard's judgment — it doesn't replace it. If a resident doesn't approve within two minutes, the guard follows their standard process. In practice, most flats have at least one smartphone user who receives notifications on behalf of the household.
What if the guard changes? Is retraining complicated?+
No. The guard's workflow is three steps: photograph visitor → tap Notify Resident → wait for approval. New guards can be trained in under 10 minutes. There is no complex setup or admin access required for guards.
Does Venditas work for multiple gates?+
Yes. All plans support unlimited gates. Each gate runs the same guard app and all activity syncs in real time across the society dashboard.
What platforms does Venditas support?+
The guard app and resident app are available for Android and iOS. The admin dashboard is web-based and works on any browser.
