WhatsApp marketing

Bring back the guests who stopped coming.

Your POS already knows who came once and never returned, who has a birthday this week and who your regulars are. Venditas turns that into ready lists, fills in a personal message with an offer code, and opens WhatsApp on your phone. Then it tells you who came back.

  • No message fees
  • Lists made from your bills
  • See who came back
Short answer

WhatsApp marketing for a restaurant means messaging your own guests with a reason to come back: a “we miss you” offer, a birthday treat, a new dish. In Venditas the guest lists come from your bills, the message is personal and carries an offer code, and it goes from your own WhatsApp, so there are no message fees. A guest counts as won back when they pay a bill within 14 days, and you see that for every campaign.

Ready guest lists

  • Haven’t come back: last visit 30 to 120 days ago. Usually the best list.
  • Birthday or anniversary this week.
  • First visit this month: thank them, invite them back.
  • Regulars: 5+ visits, tell them first about new dishes.
  • Have points to use, top 50 spenders, said yes to offers, or everyone.

Guests who asked you to stop are never in a list.

How a campaign works

  1. Pick a list and a message. “Hi {name}, we miss you at Spice Garden! ₹100 off with code COMEBACK.”
  2. Attach an offer. Its code goes in the message; the POS checks it at billing.
  3. Tap Send next to each guest: WhatsApp opens with their name filled in. Press send, come back, next.
  4. Over the next 14 days, every guest who pays a bill shows up as “came back”, with what they spent.

Bills on WhatsApp

After a guest pays, one tap sends their bill to their WhatsApp. The link opens the full GST bill on their phone, with:

  • the points they earned and their balance,
  • a 1 to 5 star rating, then your Google review link for everyone (Google’s rules don’t allow asking only happy guests),
  • your online ordering page for next time,
  • a UPI button if anything is left to pay.

Every bill sent this way is a guest who now has your page in their chat.

Collecting numbers the right way

Ask for the number at billing, and let guests say yes to offers: the table QR, online ordering and booking pages have a “send me offers on WhatsApp” box. You can mark any guest “No messages” at any time.

Keep it personal and occasional. WhatsApp can limit or block numbers that send many messages that get no reply, so message your own guests, not bought lists, and not every week.

What it costs

Nothing extra. Messages go from your phone, so there are no per-message charges, and campaigns are part of the ₹3 a bill. The daily summary to the owner also goes on WhatsApp from Day close.

What it does not do

It does not send messages by itself in the background or to thousands of numbers at once; that needs the paid WhatsApp Business API. For a single restaurant’s own guests, sending from your phone is free and more personal.

Questions

Quick answers

Does Venditas charge for WhatsApp messages?

No. Messages go from your own WhatsApp, one by one: the POS opens WhatsApp with the guest’s number and the message filled in, and you press send. There are no message fees.

Is this bulk messaging?

No, and it shouldn’t be. WhatsApp can block numbers that message many people who never reply. Venditas helps you message your own guests, a group at a time, and leaves out anyone who asked you to stop.

Where do the guest lists come from?

From your bills. A guest is saved when their phone number goes on a bill, a table QR order, an online order or a booking. Visits, spend, birthdays and points build up by themselves.

How do I know it worked?

A guest counts as having come back when they pay a bill within 14 days of your message. Each campaign shows who came back and what they spent, and Reports → Value adds it up for the month.

What about guests who don’t want messages?

Mark them “No messages” and they never appear in a list. Guests who tick “send me offers” on your QR, online or booking page are marked as agreed.

Can I send the bill on WhatsApp?

Yes. After payment, if the guest gave their number, one tap sends their bill link: the full GST bill, their loyalty points, a rating, and your online ordering page.
